From June 2018 to December 2019, xeolabs worked with SolidComponents in Halmstad, Sweden, to develop the WebGL-based 3D CAD viewer within their online engineering components catalog.
We developed the CAD viewer on xeogl, an open source WebGL-based 3D library from xeolabs.
Users are able to browse the catalog and check out products to their shopping basket. They can then use the viewer to preview the products in their basket. The viewer loads product models from 3DXML files, that the catalog system generates on-demand using SolidWorks.
